DyStar India Private Limited and A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited conducted their first joint professional training programme on “Best Practices in Package Dyeing”. The training was held on 23 September 2009 at Hotel Velan, Tirupur. The main focus of the training was to familiarize textile entrepreneurs, processors and technicians with best practices to be adopted to ensure trouble-free production and to obtain high quality output from their processing units.
The programme dealt in detail on best practices to avoid shade variations within and between cheese packages, inconsistency of batch, dye leakage in spindles and on ways to achieve cost effectiveness, etc. The training module was designed to cover technology, machinery and chemistry involved with dyes and chemicals.
Prior to the programme, DyStar and A.T.E. jointly undertook a detailed study covering various cheese dyeing operators to understand the problems faced by them. And this programme was specifically designed based on the best suggested solutions and the role of machinery/technology, dyes and chemicals in addressing these problems.
Key trainers were Mr S. Rajendran from A.T.E. and Dr A N Saligram from DyStar. They covered machinery and chemistry aspects respectively. The trainers between them posses rich and varied knowledge in machinery, process and chemistry, by virtue of their academic achievements and long industry experiences in various fields and capacities.
Being the first programme of its kind, the event was jointly inaugurated by Mr G V Aras, Director, A.T.E. Enterprises Private Ltd and Mr Rajesh Balakrishnan, Managing Director, DyStar India Private Limited.
The training programme witnessed an overwhelming response from package dyeing industry with participants coming from Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Cochin, Bangalore, etc. It was a highly interactive session and major issues of the industry were addressed. The participants appreciated this programme as a great learning opportunity.
At the end of the programme, Mr G V Aras and Mr Rajesh Balakirshnan presented certificates of participation to all participants.
On the basis of the success of this programme and the feedback received from participants, several different modules of training are planned for future.
