The table top version (Neptune 801) of the residual solvent analyzer installed here is capable of analyzing directly the solvents retained on a film or laminate. The system is initially calibrated for the solvents that need to be analyzed. The complete testing time with report generation for laminate is 10 minutes and for printed film is 8 minutes. This has reduced the time taken for the quality control check to almost half of what it was before.

The preparation of the sample to be tested is also simplified due to the precision cutter supplied by N.I.R.A. Thus the operators at Modern Packaging Company have found the system very fast, accurate and user-friendly. The Neptune 801 residual solvent analyzer has also helped the operators check the purity of the solvents being used.
