A Resounding Endorsement of
's Customer Orientation:
For the second time in succession, customers have confirmed their satisfaction with A.T.E. and credited A.T.E. as a customer centric, innovative, technology oriented and trustworthy company. A.T.E. maintained high scores on all key customer touch points. These findings emerged from an extensive survey conducted through an external agency, Feedback Business Consulting Private Limited. The survey was carried out through personal interviews covering a sample size of over 600 customers across the business areas that the company operates in, i.e. textile engineering, flow technology (pumps) and print and packing solutions (graphics).

A.T.E., as a company committed to total customer satisfaction, carries out such exercises periodically to get valuable feedback from its customers. From the last survey - conducted in 2005/06 - the company has roped in Feedback, an independent agency, to conduct the survey. This enables A.T.E. to leverage Feedback's expertise to get an in-depth and unbiased view on the company's performance vis-a-vis customer expectations. The survey covered a host of touch points with the customers ranging from pre-sales to post-sales services, image perceptions, etc.

In the face of ever increasing customer expectations, retaining high satisfaction level is a great challenge. This survey indicates that the company improved steadily to maintain its high customer satisfaction indices.

Survey outcomes:

The chart below reflects the satisfaction indices scored by the company on four of the key parameters, in each of its business group. The ratings are done on a 5 point scale – 5 denoting extreme satisfaction and 1 denoting extreme dissatisfaction.

The survey further showed that over 60% of the customers of the company fall in the category of ‘core’ group. Customers evincing high level of satisfaction, loyalty and willingness to recommend the products to others have been classified as ‘core’ group, which indicates the customers' preference for A.T.E.! At a time when the customer loyalty is almost non-existent, this is heartening to the company.

The survey also highlighted A.T.E.’s strengths, and suggested areas of improvement as well as weaknesses of A.T.E. Products, product performance, pre-sales, installation, service and support and personnel attitude have emerged as the strengths of A.T.E. Frequency of communication with customers for sharing industry level developments and technical/technological updates, better customer coverage and more empowerment of front line staff for quick decisions have emerged as the areas that the company needs to continue to make improvement.

Commenting on the survey outcome, Mr Anuj Bhagwati, Managing Director of A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited, stated: 'the big message from the survey is that we have acted in our customer's interests and that is why our satisfaction indices have stayed quite high, at the level of last survey conducted two years ago. We will now focus on the areas of improvement as brought out by the survey, to see that we make definite strides forward in these areas. We are also brainstorming other ideas to delight our customers. I really want the company to move up on the satisfaction index by the next survey'.
